Risun Group Pingxiang Industrial Park 1.8 Million Tons/Year Coking Project: No. 1 Coke Oven Ignited and Heated Up

04 Feb,2026

At 9:18 a.m. on February 3, 2026, following the successful commissioning of the first coke oven (No. 2 coke oven) on December 31, 2025, another good news came from Risun Group's Pingxiang Industrial Park’s 1.8 million t/a coking project: the No. 1 coke oven was officially ignited and started heating up.

This marks another key milestone in the project’s full-speed progress toward the goal of "startup means production, production means achieving design capacity." The project is being built under the "Five Modernizations" model – integration, scaling, intensification, ecologization, and intellectualization – and managed under the "Seven Unifications" principle – unified planning and development, unified infrastructure, unified operation and management, unified energy management, unified logistics and transportation, unified safety and environmental protection, and unified R&D and innovation. It adheres to the requirements of "high starting point, advanced technology, good quality, and fast progress." The oven is expected to undergo a 65-day controlled heating-up process to reach optimal condition.

Upon full completion, the project – covering 610 mu (approx. 40.7 hectares) with a total investment of RMB 3 billion – will mainly consist of 2 × 65-hole 6.78 m stamp-charge coke ovens, coal handling system, gas purification system, dedicated railway line, auxiliary production facilities, along with one 260 t/h dry quenching system and a super-high-pressure turbine generator unit. The project will then achieve an annual production capacity of 1.8 million tons of coke, 75,000 tons of coal tar, 23,500 tons of crude benzene, 24,700 tons of ammonium sulfate, and 790 million cubic meters of clean gas. This will effectively fill the structural gap in the coke market in Jiangxi Province and the broader East China region, strongly support the stable operation of regional steel enterprises, and further improve the regional industrial chain and supply chain system.
